In Recent News from Connecticut - Updated!

I love that my family and the Internets still keep me up-to-date on news from my home state.  My sister shared some information about State Representative Ernest Hewett with me this morning.

Apparently, he should change the quote on his official website to "Never get so low in front of a live mic."

So over the last twenty-four hours, my feelings for Representative Hewett have moderated a bit.  This audio file was just shared with me (again, thanks to my sister).  The foot-in-mouth moment happens towards the end of the recording, at the 3:05 mark.

It is clearly a stupid thing to say, but it sounds less salacious to me than how it reads.  One would hope that a politician would choose his words more carefully.  I do no hear, however, the innuendo that I read from his quote in the newspaper.
