Hashtag Pee Tea Aitch

If ye really wish to stick it to 'Ole King George, peruse my weblog.

How does one spell the word "h"?

After posting for nearly a week, this blog has yet to be properly titled.  Considering that the header for this blog is a picture of my reflection in a computer screen with the words "Place Title Here" pasted on top, I seem to be committed.  The fact that the favicon for this blog contains the letters "PTH" indicates another step down a oneway path.

This has me wondering whether or not I want to be associated with the acronym "PTH."  I do enjoy the fact that this three-letter representation would come directly before "PTI" in an alphabetically sorted list.  Though called "possibly the worst show in the history of television" by Tim Marchman in the Wall Street Journal, Pardon the Interruption is a favorite in our household.  What are the chances that, in the same episode, Mr. Tony will say something sexist and Wilbon will suggest solving a problem through fighting?  If the show goes really well, they both use the word "slurp" at some point.

So I know what "PTH" means to me, but what does it signify to the rest of the world?  Let's find out.

The search results seem pretty innocuous.  Lots of information about parathyroid hormone out there.  I do love this section of the Wikipedia entry:

A low level of PTH in the blood is known as hypoparathyroidism. Causes include surgical misadventure ...

I'm imagining coming out of anestesia to see my surgeon in a pirate costume and an intern dressed up like Indiana Jones, both with very guilty looks on their faces.

I'm a little confused how a company called PowerShares Dynamic Healthcare gets the stock symbol PTH.   It cannot inspire optimism in investors when the heads of corporations do not understand how to abbreviate things.

I'm just glad that PTH does not stand for some strange hate group of fetish site like People Terrorizing Herring, or Police Tazing the French, or Porcupines in Tricorn Hats.  Who would want to be a part of such things?

So let me make this official ... "Place Title Here" is going to be the name of this blog.  You can be one of the first people to slip PTH into conversation, like the cool kids will be doing soon.  I'm even going to dare and Tweet the hashtag PTH right now.

I'm pretty brave.
